R.I.P Harry.

Today ,we are gathered here to celebrate the life of: our Harry. Harry, Fat Head!! We gather to pay our respects, grieve, console his family and each other, celebrate his life and the valuable lessons he leaves behind.

Harry, you lived a simple life. You taught us that is the only way to live. You taught us life isn’t about material things, it’s about how much you love, and were loved, and the legacy you leave behind. You always seemed to show up just at the right time and for that we shall be forever grateful.

Finding your lifeless body behind the tv cabinet was a huge shock. I thought you were passed out, after another big night and bender. And that happened often.

Our time together was brief. Our initial meeting…..surprising. I opened the front door and in you jumped. Your larger than life body made a “THWACK” sound, as you landed on my arm and then the floor. Clearly you were lost and, or drunk!!

You were a ‘larger, than life’ character. You looked prehistoric, but moved with considerable speed. I chased you around the lounge room initially, for an hour, trying to get you out of the house.

I gave you the name: Harry. You looked like a “Harry.” Harry, the huntsman. I always imagined you wearing a fedora hat and black, shiny, lace up shoes. With a cigarette hanging out your mouth. I think you secretly played in a jazz band.

When I realized you were gone, I closed all of your eight eyes and gently folded your eight chunky, hairy legs, across your chest. I said a prayer for you, my friend.

Your whole life you worked hard, catching pesky flies and bugs. It was a thankless job, most of the time, but we reaped the benefits of your strong work ethic. I will certainly miss your presence around here. You kept your part of the house tidy and you earned your keep.

Sadly, the time has come to say goodbye, Harry. We found a special place for you in the garden, amongst the trees. You will love it there.

You have paid your dues and your work on this earth is done.

I SALUTE you, Harry!! We can all aspire to live the life you did. Life won’t be the same without you. Thank you for protecting us and for keeping the really bad guys away.

I have included some of our special photos and moments below.

Rest In Peace, Harry.

My friend, Harry Fat Head!

You will be so very missed.

Xxx

  1. I once had a friend. Once.
He told me that Huntsman’s couldn’t bite. So I picked countless numbers of Huntsman’s up, in my hands. And placed them outside.

It wasn’t ’til a later date that EVERYONE ELSE told me, they’ll bite your hands!
    What is wrong with you!?!

I no longer pick Huntman’s up by their person.

    1. Huntsmans are generally pretty harmless, unless they are wearing black, shiny, lace up shoes, a fedora and have a cigarette hanging out their mouth!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
